Munro Lab
Munro Research Lab at Johns Hopkins
The Munro Lab is a clinical research lab based in the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Led by Dr. Cynthia Munro, our team is concentrated on the mechanisms underlying individual differences in responses to stress, focusing on their associations with memory function.
Our goal is to further understand relationships among individual differences in the response to stress, cognitive impairment, and the development of dementia to identify potential targets for intervention. We hope that our findings can ultimately be used to help delay and prevent dementia.

Our Work
The Munro Lab is dedicated to understanding the mechanisms underlying the associations among stress, memory impairment, and dementia. Our team of researchers utilizes innovative techniques to investigate biological and behavioral factors contributing to dementia. Our work is carried out through two clinical trials in addition to our various research collaborations.
